Project COUNTER:

Launched in March 2002, COUNTER (Counting Online Usage of Networked Electronic Resources) is an international initiative designed to serve librarians, publishers and intermediaries by facilitating the recording and exchange of online usage statistics. COUNTER benefits these parties by standardising the measurement of such statistics, allowing publishers to report in a consistent manner, and libraries and intermediaries to compare these statistics in a meaningful way.

MPS Technologies have had a close relationship with Project COUNTER since its inception and work constantly to ensure that all updates to the COUNTER code are rolled out to PublisherStats clients immediately, leaving them secure in the knowledge that they are always guaranteed to be COUNTER-compliant.

Coremetrics

PublisherStats is delivered in partnership with Coremetrics, the leading provider of on-demand web analytics. PublisherStats uses Coremetrics’ SurfAid service, originally developed by IBM, and acquired by Coremetrics in 2006.
